Love Happens #4 – “I’m Serious About You”

“I only accepted him after the third time.” “What affectionate name do you have for each other?” “I call him Fluffy… he hates it, because he says he loses his ‘masculinity’...” "Because my name is Hani, he likes to call me Honeybun.”

“I only accepted him after the third time.”
“What affectionate names do you have for each other?”
“I call him Fluffy… he hates it, because he says he loses his ‘masculinity’…”
“Because my name is Hani, he likes to call me Honeybun.”

It’s not easy to be persistent, but a real man knows that when he chances upon that special girl, he should not let her pass him by. Rejection is never necessarily final and what we found inspiring was how his persistence paid off when she finally said “yes”. It’s clear to all, that both of them do take their relationship seriously, for she would not have said “yes” unless she has given the relationship serious thought and consideration, and neither would he have persisted if she wasn’t important to him. Beautiful, isn’t it? (‘:

Also, calling each other sweet names can be mushy and some of you guys out there are not into cute-sy names that may make you less “macho”, etc. But wait a minute, think of how your loved one would smile whenever she calls you that. You can’t call someone with a cute-sy term if you didn’t really think he/she was cute now can you? (: being called with a cute name sure means that she thinks you’re cute, buddy. And being cute doesn’t mean you’re any less manly/macho/hot! Lucky you.

And I know that there are cases where it’s the girl who resists such names, but hey, you get my point. (:

Before I go, one of my favourite quotes,

“I mean, if the relationship can’t survive the long term, why on earth would it be worth my time and energy for the short term?”
