Lovebyte at Google for Entrepreneurs Week – Singapore

23-29 September 2012 was Google for Entrepreneurs Week. Google teams in 28 cities across 13 countries will host events for entrepreneurs in their local communities in a global week of support and service.

In Singapore, Google Singapore is holding a varsity challenge on 28 September 2012 where students aim to solve real-life challenges based on those faced by two selected Singapore startups. LoveByte is happy to partner with Google for this event, alongside with local taxi-sharing app GoMyWay.

10 teams were formed, the enthusiasm the students had was AMAZING. They thought of the business as though it was their own.

It was hard for us to pick a winner, because every team was strong in their own ways.

We’d also like to thank other judges who helped to consider the pitches: Ian Tolond, Meri Rosich and Vikash Kumar. They were highly experienced and played a big role in deciding the winners.

It was a great day with all the awesome people we met, and special thanks to Google for hosting the event. The team definitely gained a lot from this event and all the ideas generated, we hope to be able to roll them out someday! Thanks for all the fun and joy!
